Almost had my baby in the hospital lobby

I’m still in shock about how quickly it all happened… I was 38weeks and supposed to be induced on 11/3. I started feeling contractions at while getting ready for bed but they weren’t long lasting so I decided to keep it cool and take a shower. Once I got dressed I realized it was time to go to the hospital. My husband and I get in the car and my contractions just completely take off and there is no time in between them. I’m kind of freaking out because I was induced with my first and I got an epidural. I have never felt pain this intense in my life. 15 minutes later we arrived at the hospital and I can barely walk let alone fill out the in take paper work or answer any questions. I had to push already so they rushed me to the closest room in labor and delivery. They checked my cervix and I was at 8cm so they told me to calm down while the dr makes her way to my room. I was like no put the stirrups up she’s coming right now all while crying in pain. Sure enough they put them up and she was out in 4 pushes. The dr arrived a little while later and delivered my placenta and stitched my 2nd degree tear up.

It was all so surreal! I was in the hospital a total of 13 minutes before my daughter was in my arms. I still can’t believe it! She’s almost a week old now and she is an absolute joy 🥰
