Random discharge? w/ Mirena (A little gross, sorry!)

Hi everyone,

I got my Mirena IUD replaced on 11/10/2020. I had the normal spotting a week or so after and that was it…. Until today….

So throughout the day I owed as normal and noticed I had A LOT of clear egg white like CM. I thought it was odd but continued with my day (keep in mind I have no bleed, had CM, or any sort of discharge since I got my IUD placed a year ago).

I got home & got in the bath and THOUGHT I peed a little (on accident of course) but as I was confused & looking I saw dark brown almost blood clotty things in the water and was extremely confused. I drained the water and as I did it I tried to push more out and more came out! I am assuming it’s old blood? However I drained and refilled the bath & started cramping pretty bad and have been for 3 hours or so now. I keep checking & no blood.

Has anyone gone a year without any period symptoms and all of a sudden old blood comes out? Is it normal to go a year without a period on the Mirena IUD and then have one out of nowhere? Has anyone else experienced this before?
