I left my straightener on for over 24 hours 👁👄👁

Has anyone else done this? Obviously not for that long, who fuck can even do that except for my dingy ass 🤦‍♀️ I feel like a total dumbass and extremely lucky that I didn’t burn my fucking house down. I haven’t used it since yesterday afternoon before I went to see my grandmother in the hospital. She’s on hospice and it’s been a very emotional, stressful 24 hours. I’ve walked past my straightener at least a dozen times today. It was just laying on my counter plugged in. I do forget to unplug it most of the time but I always turn it off at least. I can’t sleep tonight and I went into the bathroom with the light off and saw the little light on it on. 🤦‍♀️

Now I have burn marks on my counter and I live in a rental. Thank god I didn’t lay a shirt or anything on top of it. I’m honestly so shook. I feel like throwing out all my hot tools and never use them again 😫
