So confused

A week ago I started seeing ewcm and I thought I had a positive opk because my test line was pretty dark but not the same darkness as the control line. I second guessed myself and continued testing to see if the test line would be exactly the same darkness but it got lighter.I decided to keep testing just in case my body geared up to ovulate and didn't. Now 5 days later my opk is for sure positive except I have creamy cm now not ewcm. Did I miss my fertile window ??? I think I really confused myself this cycle. Has this happened to anyone else ?
