Useless Worrying!?
I am pregnant through IVF with a normal, tested embryo. Everything has been going well, but sometimes I wish the doctors only shared information we absolutely need to know. My first two betas were great and doubled as expected. They did another beta at 5 weeks 5 days, which was 18,800 and we were able to see the gestational and yolk sacs. They took another beta at 6 weeks 5 days and the beta was 70,831. We were able to see the fetal pole and heart beat, which was 125bpm. Everything was measuring on track. But for some reason, the most recent beta seems so much lower than I expected and I’ve been worrying. I know the rate at which hcg increases will slow down after it reaches 6,000, yet I’m anxious that next time we see the baby it will have stopped growing.
