Someone posted about IUD falling out so I wanted to share this story
It's not my story but I have an IUD myself so I was freaking out when it happened. I was hanging out with 4 of my girlfriends and one of them was like "man I think I'm gonna get my period." And we were all like that fucking sucks because we all get it. We go out to eat and finally get home a few hours later.
The girl who's earlier said she thought she was getting her period goes to the bathroom and legitimately screams at all of us through the door. "MY IUD! ITS IN THE TOILET!" We run in there like no way.
So imagine a group of women looking into the toilet and seeing an IUD at the bottom of it covered in blood and we were like "it just fell out? You didn't pull on it?" She said "NO! It's my birth control why on earth would I pull on it? I didn't even feel it come out I just heard it plop into the water!!" And I was personally freaking out because I'm the mom of the group and she was pale even though there wasn't much blood that I saw. We got her a pair of gloves to fish the IUD out of the toilet and put it in a bag and took her to the ER and they were like "you're fine. It just fell out but you're not hurt." So I think her just being pale was her just being panicked. I mean it's supposed to be inside your uterus and now it's in the toilet. I would be pale and panicked too. She told us later on she went on different BC after seeing her Gyno.
But if you're the girl who thinks it's falling out please see a doctor soon. I had no idea they could just simply fall out. I read up on it and basically anytime your uterus decides it does not agree with a foreign object inside of it, it'll just kick it out. It's more likely to happen the first 6 months after insertion, and for some reason even more likely if you're breast feeding. Luckily, mine has stayed in for almost 2 years.
