Need help with cloth diapers

I’d like to get cloth diapers but I have no idea where to look for them ( since I want a good brand) , how many I need for my first baby..I’m not even sure how you clean them but I am guessing you hand wash them first right ? Then throw them in the washer?

Also for those who use them..do you find yourself using them more then diapers?

I’d feel like I’d be better using cloth diapers for home and diapers on the go but if cloth diapers are better then I may just stay with those. Idk.

Any recommendations? Any tips?
