Long sleeve or short? What are you buying?

Hi mamas -
I’m due at the end of April and I find myself struggling with whether or not I should buy long sleeve clothes 0-3 months or short? I’m a FTM and don’t really know where to start! I’m in New Jersey.. so it could still be pretty cold. 
We plan to have her in a bassinet for a few months in our bedroom and we *might* switch the AC on by May.  I’d love your thoughts.

A variety! Especially depending on where you live. I’m in the USA Midwest states on the Great Lakes and our summer can get hot, but it takes until sometimes end of May or June to feel a difference.

Yes buy some! My first son was born in May, we live in SoCal and we still put him in long sleeves on some cooler days and at night

I would do long sleeve. My first baby was born in July, and I live in the south, I still kept her in long sleeves at night. Even some times during the day I would have her in long sleeves and pants when we were just at the house. I’ve got a mixture of both for this baby.

I live in PA, so we are close neighbors! I am going to try to get a mix of both but I think more short sleeve. We are starting from scratch in the clothes department since we had a girl last time and are having a boy this time lol

Personally we keep it cold in our house (I'm due literally the butt end of April, will very very likely deliver in may as I went 5 days over with my natural labor, first was induced very early, so don't count)
Anyways, so I'll be buying some long sleeve things! Our house is typically in the 60's in the summer because we all hate heat lol. I like to keep it comfy enough to wear pajamas or wear a blanket.
I'll get a few short sleeve things as well though! Probably won't but many hats though

My thought process is mostly short sleeves bc they won’t be outside too much and baby’s sleep better when they aren’t overly warm and it reduces the risk of SIDS as well if they are a cooler temperature! But also a FTM so 🤷‍♀️

I’d say for newborn and April get mostly long sleeve. I live in Utah though and weather can still snow then. plus if your inside majority of the time the usual temp of my house it’s better to have long sleeve for that size. But I’m due at very end of April so I’ll probably do a mix. Short for going out and long for inside days 😊

I’m in Florida also due middle of April and am still getting long sleeve onesies in 0-3, babies can’t hold heat like we can. Just a few though!

I’m struggling too as well as sizes for summer. I’m due April 29th and live in NY. For sleep wear I’m sticking with long sleeve but lightweight as I plan to use swaddles and then sleep sacks when they are too old for swaddles. And will make sure I have long sleeve onesies/lightweight pants but will also buy short sleeve. I’m going to buy 0-3 for the spring/early summer and then plan for 3-6 by the time it really gets hot. It’s hard to plan with all the seasons and not being sure what size they will be in.
