How many csections can you safely have?

I’ve had two so far. I want 3 maybe 4 kids and didn’t know if there was a limit on how many you should have. My friend just had her first kid and the doctors said she was a great candidate for a csection because she only wanted two kids (she had a failed induction). So now I’m thinking well wait no doctor ever said anything to me about not having more than two kids lol. Any thoughts?

I've been recommended to have another c section with this baby, it will be my 3rd c section. I wanted to try for a vbac though but for other reasons I can't and a c section is actually safer. They are trying to push for me having my tubes tied though this time because of the risks of having anymore after this one

This will be my third one, I believe anything after 4 there’s just more risks involved and I think depends how far apart they are.

With each csection the risks increase, doesn’t mean you can’t have them tho. Typically doctors won’t recommend more than 4/5 but it’s not like they can’t or won’t treat you if you end up pregnant again with #6 or more

I know plenty of women who have had more than 5 and they are fine. If your c sections usually go perfectly fine I think you should be ok. I’m on my 4th one and tbh 3rd was very routine for me it was fine! 🥰

My OB discussed with this with me when I had a scheduled c-section with my first. She said 3 is about all they like to do as your body become less and less able to recover from each one. Scar tissue both outside and inside the body doesn’t heal as well and it becomes harder for them to perform a c-section, harder for the incision to heal correctly, increase risk of infection/bleeding/damage to muscles. I never planned on more than 3 anyways so I was ok with it. I would definitely discuss it with your OB because each women’s body and recovery is different.

Every circumstance is different but my doctor told me that every c section you have becomes more risky. So when I said 2-3 kids she said should be fine, more than that and she’d be less comfortable. Not to say you can’t it just holds more risk

My husbands cousin who lives in Brazil said that that’s how most deliveries are encouraged- c-section. I’ve heard 4 is max but not sure. 
I’m hoping I can have a c section for my #2 since my vaginal delivery for my first was traumatizing.
