When do stretch marks begin

I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my first. If people develop stretch marks, what week/month in pregnancy does it usually start?

Mine didn’t pop up until about 35 weeks. I was lulled into a false sense of security, and then BAM. Lovely surprise lol

As soon as you start developing your bump you should apply lotion or bio oil to help the skin stretch to reduce stretch marks if you’re trying to avoid them. I didn’t get stretch marks until after I gave birth

I didn't get a single one 🙊 I was waiting and waiting for them but they didn't show. I gave birth at 39 weeks

If they develop they come at different stages of pregnancy. I’m about to have my second child I’m 28+2 and I don’t have any at all. Everyone bodies are different.

With my first - I had 0 until about 40 weeks. They literally erupted and I got more every day until I finally gave birth at 41+1 😭 
Currently 38+6 weeks with my second child, my old ones have been slowly becoming more and more visible the past week, I imagine some new ones will appear soon 🤐
I'd say I have more than the average person, but they were less visible a lot sooner because they're thinner.

Right at the very end - probably about 38 weeks. Thought I was gonna get by without them, then bam lol there they are.
