Telling SO you don't want them there

Anybody else ever had to tell a spouse you don't want them there with you when you deliver? My husband and I are in a rough patch of a year, and I'm still not over the pain he's caused me. I don't want to take his experience of meeting his baby away from him like that but this is more so for me and my mental health because I feel like he's just going to make me more stressed and anxious...
