Toddler has a rash around his lip for a couple days now… not sure what’s going on. It doesn’t seem to bother him and is staying about the same. He hasn’t eaten anything new. Any ideas?

It looks like he may be biting it or sucking on it so it’s chapped. Maybe dry it and put some Vaseline on it? Call a doctor and ask their opinion as I’m not a doctor… if you do that, it’ll feel funny so you’ll have to really distract him

Good news everyone- it’s just dryness and irritation from him sucking and chewing on his lip. We have a humidifier but now I’ll be moisturizing it too and looking for a chapstick…

That's the first sign both my boys had when they got chicken pox. It started with a rash like that on their lips, Athen their got a few spots in their cheeks and within hours their legs was full of spots.

My 2.5 year old has been biting and sucking on his top lip causing a rash like that. I put Aquaphor on his lips after he falls asleep and it clears it up.

If you notice any spots appear anywhere else on the body, or the rash/spots on the face getting worse, I'd go to the doctor or urgent care. My littlest wound up with impetigo a while back. One had spots start around the mouth. They both got spots/pimple looking rashes on their hands, arms, legs, feet & diaper area. My nephew also got it but his doctor thought it was hand foot & mouth.
