Easy being a SAHM??

Do you think it’s easy being a SAHM? I personally think it’s stressful (but rewarding of course) yet my husband said it’s easy.

It’s the hardest job. 😅 Going to my actual job feels like a break.

Then let him do it for a week straight, don’t lift a finger to help, go out and enjoy yourself. I would straight throat punch my husband if he said being a SAHM was easy because that means he doesn’t value what i do or see me as an equal, this stuff is HARD even if it’s not physically hard it is mentally heavy. Plus 9 times out of 10 the women whether working or not have to also take on the mental load of the entire family.

Hahahaha they say it’s easy. My husband used to say the same thing when I was on Mat Leave and once I went back to work and he watched our daughter 2 days out of the week (she went to daycare 3 days a week) he quickly changed his mind. She was 14 months at the time. Fast forward 3 years and we are onto kid number 3. I’m working full time at home with both kids at home (AND 34 weeks pregnant) and my husband will say daily “I don’t know how you do it. You’re a rockstar. I couldn’t do what you do” 😂 
Once they experience it, they never say another word.

For me, it varies. Sometimes days are easy, sometimes they’re a hot mess. My husband 100% does not realize just HOW MUCH I do for the kids 24/7, but I’ve given up looking for that appreciation/understanding because I love my kids with all my heart and wouldn’t ever want it to be otherwise, especially when they’re really little.

I wouldn’t call it easy. But in my opinion it is easier than being a mom working outside the home. It depends on what makes you happy. I stayed home with my first child and was so content (aside from not having any money). With my second child I work full time. I am so exhausted trying to juggle both worlds.

Some people are better at it than others….I think the way you manage stress has so much to do with it. My husband deals with stress quite well so he is actually better at it than me.

Me and my partner Are literally having severe fights over this. He says it’s “ my job “ and why would I need help with 3 kids. I really don’t feel like I’m being seen, appreciated, valued in any way. He says it’s easy; get to be home in a comfortable home have everything I could want ( financially ) It’s so easy. I’m so tired to the point I’m loosing my mind. I csnt take it anymore. He wouldn’t last 2 days in my life.

Haha no way! I’ve been a sahm for 10 years! Some days I wish I could go to work instead. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it and wouldn’t change it for the world but it is very hard sometimes.
