How many ounces of breastmilk should my 2 week old consume?

I pump when he doesn’t want to latch and I’ve been giving him 2 ounces every 2-3 hours. He seems to want more than 2 ounces now (around 2 1/2 maybe 3) but he also doesn’t want it within 2-3 hours every time. I don’t want to over feed him though. At night he could go 4-5 hours if I let him but I’m not sure if that is safe. On the other hand it’s hard to wake him up and get him interested in eating every 2-3 hours and I’m so exhausted. I’ll continue if I need to but I’m so defeated and just want some more rest. Thoughts?

Time and time again it has been said to see an IBCLC for all these questions and latching issues you have. 
You absolutely need to pace feed. A 2wk old would only need 2-3oz at a time.

There's a growth spurt around 2-3 weeks, so it might be why she wants more. But be really sure that you pace feed.

My girl could take 6oz in a sitting at two months if she was really hungry. If you have a breastfeeding help clinic, I’d recommend going and doing a weigh-feed-weigh and see how much your babe takes in a feeding. It blew my mind when my girl took 6oz in under 10 minutes.

Also, if he’s 2 months, I wouldn’t worry about feeding him on a strict schedule. The nurses at my hospital told me only to worry about making sure she was eating every 2-3 hours for the first two weeks until she regained her birth weight, then to offer her boob only when she fussed after that. Try feeding him on demand. As long as he’s gaining the right amount of weight and hitting his milestones. Seriously, find out if your hospital/clinic has a weigh-in clinic with breastfeeding help (or bottle feeding). My hospital does free weigh-ins and my girl usually gains 2 pounds a month. That’s good progress for her. She eats on demand and she can go straight through the night without waking up, no problem. She had a sleep regression/growth spurt last couple weeks and has been waking up once a night to eat, but she goes, like clockwork, 6.5 hours between feedings during the night.

It’s 1-1.25oz per hour with no more than 4oz at a time. 
So 3 hours would be 3-3.75oz.
If babe is over birth weight, 4-5 hour stretches are okay! A 4oz bottle would be appropriate for those times. 
Babe should be taking in around 24-30oz in 24 hours. This is true until 1 years old.
