How long after separation is it feasible to start seeing other people? (Husband cheated and has been living with other woman for about 7 months)

I have been separated for 7 months. I have filed for divorce, but it's going to be a bit drawn out. My husband had cheated and has been living with the other woman since the actual day he left me and had been seeing her for sometime before. Normally, I would say to wait until the divorce is final, but that is going to be a good little while yet before everything is finished. Considering he has moved on and I have fully moved on, I was thinking maybe it's time?

I’d say whatever you’re comfortable with, and where you are emotionally with the divorce and the cheating issue. 
The only exception for me would be if children are involved. This is life changing and pretty fresh and a lot of changes at once, so I’d say if you choose to date, keep kids out of it. They don’t need to meet men in and out even if the perception is “friends”.

Whatever the person is comfortable with. I don't think having a divorce finalized is important just as long as you are comfortable and ready to start dating. Most people don't jump right back into a serious relationship anyhow. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

Whenever you feel ready. Cheating takes a toll on your mental state so give yourself time to heal but if you have then I dont see any problem dating before the divorce is final

I’ve been pretty much in the same situation and it took me about a year and half to fully heal and to even be interested in dating again. My divorce still isn’t finalized, my ex is dragging it out so bad. And my new boyfriend (4 month) still hasn’t met my daughter, but eventually will.
But everyone is different, do what’s best for you and your child.

It varies by person. Men usually move on quickly. A lot tend to have a back up plan already in play 😉 while women tend to take longer to heal or move on. Sometimes they move on quickly because they don’t want to be alone or for financial reasons. For women it usually starts as a male friend that they sought comfort in and usually emotionally before physically infidelity happens when they are in a bad marriage. Often when they relationship is over or you are living like roommates or staying together for the sake of the kids etc for a while, it’s easier to move on rather quickly. All depends on you and the situation. Some people never move on to someone new. Some people stay single because of the kids they don’t want a revolving door of people coming in and out of their lives. My mother is a widow 37 years. Never remarried. Again whenever you are ready and comfortable.

My husband and I connected at a party about a month after my ex husband and I separated. Wasn't looking for anything, it just happened. I was in therapy at the time which was mostly useless but she said that there really wasn't a time limit and that I was doing well and go for it. 5 years and 3 kids later it seems to be working out
