Do you think the christmas song “baby it’s cold outside” is offensive?

If so. How much does this song currently offend you? Right now, I find it borderline offensive.  
I know borderline offensive is similar to mild, but I mean borderline-  not offensive, but pushing it, while mild means yes, offensive, but doesn’t offend me as much as other things do.

No not at all. It’s a song written around the 50s and it’s sung and written in humor. Last year famous pop people tried to write an unnecessary pc version and it was pathetic (just my opinion) and ruined the song. If you don’t like it and can’t see past the time it was written and the humor behind it just don’t play it at your next Christmas party- or listen to the Indina menzel and Michael bubblay version wich is a better modern adaptation of the song that really emphasizes at is joking maned and has playful banter in it.

People say he’s drugging her when he’s just pouring her more alcohol. The same thing a guy at a bar does to women and people are totally fine with that happening everyday.

I think people forget this song is tongue in cheek and she's doing that whole flirty thing 
"I can't stay...."
And he's like "but baby it's cold outside *wink wink*"
And then she's like "this evening has been so very nice" she even says "maybe just half a drink more" then she says "it's cold outside"
It's that whole I should go but I don't want to, convince me to stay. I want to Stay but I feel I can't but I want to.
And I think the context its written is when young women aren't aloud to be promiscuous or stay over with men for one night stands. Hence the constant referencing to her parents and sister. Like it's frowned upon for her to stay over with this man, but she really wants to get laid by him basically.
People always complain about Christmas songs but it's like that Fairytale of New York people take offence over the line "you scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy f*ggot" but the line isn't to do with homophobia and gay people, it's a rhyme and that word also means Sausage as well so he's a cheap lousy sausage (sausage is an insult in the UK like someone who's a bit stupid). Or looking back at being a Northern English teen during the 2010s, with parents who were Teens in the 90s, that word was rarely aimed in homophobia, its more another word for someone who is a bit of a pussy / coward. It's all about context and people forget about what things meant at the time they were said.

I think people take the lyrics too literally and don’t apply context. The drink line is clearly a tongue in cheek “heyyy what’s in this drink? 😏” type of phrase, and the whole aspect of her wanting to go home because people will find it scandalous is because of the time period the song was written. 
It’s flirtatious. And no one today would even care if she stayed the night at a guys house. 🤷‍♀️

I think if you know the time period it was written and the meaning then, it’s not. However not everyone does and they see it as romanticizing coercion which is not great. I know the real meaning and I feel iffy about the song because I know that not everyone does and will think it’s okay to act the way he does in the song

if the song was written now, it might be. but you have to remember the time period it’s from. it was very improper for a woman to want to stay at a man’s house late at night. she had to say “no, i really can’t stay”. it’s a cute song. i get why people would see it one way, but it’s old.

My sister and I always comment that if it ever got released today, it would get so much backlash. I voted borderline offensive for such reasons.
