I need advice asap, I’m 22 and a care leaver (my parents died when I was 10 in motorcycle accident) I have no siblings and no real family around me. I do however have amazing friends.

I met my ex boyfriend whilst traveling in Asia (he’s from the U.K. too) so we moved back and I moved to his hometown and got my own apartment and have a pretty good job which I’ve been recently promoted to HR assistant manager for my area. Im earning a great wage and love my job.

So I’m 26 weeks pregnant and when my boyfriend found out we were expecting a baby he walked away. He has made it clear he does not want to be a father and wanted me to terminate but I have decided to go it alone, my best friend has decided to move in and rent my second bedroom, to help me out when I go on maternity with finances and also to help me with the baby, she suggested this not me.

Anyway, my ex refused to tell his parents about the baby and I urged him to but ultimately respected his wishes.

Three weeks ago I ran into his mum in town and she obviously could see I was pregnant and stopped for a chat (she was nice but asked me a lot of questions) I decided not to lie and tell her it’s her sons baby but he doesn’t want to be a dad which is fine by me.

Since then she has hounded me, my friends, my workplace, she’s sent me messages saying that as soon as I give birth she’s getting her solicitor to fight for full custody.

I’ve said she can have access but she wants my baby to live with her and her husband.

She’s reported me twice to social services claiming I drink and take drugs which I have never done (I have a kidney problem so can’t drink alcohol) she’s contacted my past social worker from when I was a child and “expressed her concerns” that as I was in care myself I couldn’t be trusted with a baby.

She’s had police at my door multiple times in three weeks telling them I have people partying in my house. (Also not true)

Now I’ve had a letter from social services requesting I meet with them for a “chat” and to asses my living conditions.

I’m so stressed that my doctor wants to start me on anti anxiety medication because of this woman’s constant harassment, which would also just make me look Unstable.

She’s pretty wealthy and has made it clear that she will pursue this until she wins.

I’m so scared that she’s going to take my baby. I’m terrified. I’ve done nothing wrong.
