When would you start your nursery?

I’m 13w+1d and I know that we’re having a baby girl so i’m dying to start the nursery but am hesitant to start until 20 weeks. Did anyone start this early? 🤣 Not big stuff, just like a dresser and wall decor. Of course crib and stuff later on.

I don’t see the harm in starting now! I got put on bed rest at 32 weeks with my first pregnancy so I had to rely on other people to help me finish everything after that!

The sooner the better honestly. Later in pregnancy you get more and more uncomfortable, tired, could be on bed rest, etc. We painted my sons room around 14 weeks then put furniture together as it came in. Everything was done by 7 months I think which was great because then holidays hit and I was burnt out 😅

Here's how I do my timeline math. December's budget and time is going to be maxed out because of Christmas. After Christmas I have 6 months..but since I'm due early June and we're inducing..it'll likely be may. So that's actually 5 months. However we won't know the gender to start buying until next month. So that's 4.  I want to be completely done a month before that. So now that's 3 months.
My sons birthday is March and I'll probably spend atleast a chunk of that month birthday planning. So that's like 2.5 months. And we have to spread out that spending between 2.5 months....IF we start now. Which I'm not because I'm still sick and anemic. So...I'll try to start next month. 😅🤣
And I'm happy with that, especially if it's a boy because we have a lot of boy stuff already from my son.

Earlier is better in my opinion, bc you really start to slow down and time flies at the end.

I am just waiting to find out the gender! Lol my husband has to tradition his man cave up stairs, then transition the guest room to the old man cave so I can have the nursery room, he’s starting Jan 1! So that’s 6 months, and I also would like to have it done about a month before 😬 I have a feeling we’re going to be tight on time at the end
