First time using ovulation test. ??

Question

This is our second month ttc. I am using the ovulation strips.  I started check my ovulation on Wednesday and my fertile window just started yesterday. The test line sometimes looks like it's getting darker then some days you can barely see it.  Today both test lines are barely visible

Question. Is the line supposed to darken each day as I get closer to ovulation ?  Or does it just become darker when I ovulate ?  I guess I assumed the line would become darker each day and not back and forth.

Are you testing the same time everyday? The results can fluctuate but once it is starting to get nearly as dark as the control it should be very near to becoming positive. Make sure you are testing roughly same time each day and that you have not urinated frequently. I.e. You want to have not peed for a few hours before the test so your urine isn't diluted. Once you get a line that is looking dark, go ahead and test twice that day. You can miss your spike within hours!
