Diagnosed with HG - Any tips?

I’ve been diagnosed with HG and can’t keep food or fluids down. I’m on Zofran after trying B6 and unisom. I’m getting IV fluids twice a week and nothing is helping. I feel like I’m dying. I’m 7.5 weeks.

I ended up needing the zofran pump and oral promethazine. I had both from 10-22 weeks then I transitioned back to oral zofran and promethazine.

Take your zofran even if you feel ok. If you’re on a low dose 4mg and it isn’t working don’t be afraid to ask for more (I’m in 8mg 3/4 times a day and I use IV) while you’re feeling good/if that happens get fluid and water down asap. If you can’t get help or aren’t being listened to go elsewhere. I have had it since 4 weeks and am now 34 my Doctor wouldn’t listen. Hospital didn’t listen and now they’re stating I didn’t express how bad it was and my baby has IUGR. Considering all I went through and all the notes they just didn’t do their job properly and I lost well over 10kg. Was on IV daily and having artificial food. How can it be any worse to them. Advocate for yourself and baby. I was just so lucky my partner is a Dr and treated me as no one else would listen. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know what would have happened.

When Zofran wasnt helping, I had to take phenergan suppositories. They helped some. Almost had a Zofran pump but I didn’t want it with my three year old constantly on me and being wild, so I did Zofran, oral phenergan, and suppository. I’m still taking Zofran at over 34 weeks. Hg is horrible I’m so sorry you’re going through it 😭

Are you taking oral zofran? If that’s not helping they Amy need to increase the dose, try a combination of meds or iv therapies. I have had hg with both my pregnancies and it’s terrible. Hoping one of those things helps you.
