I need some reassurance and help

Hey everyone. So I’m 28 weeks pregnant. On Saturday evening I went into my hospital because of some painful contractions. More than just Braxton Hicks. They monitored me for a few hours, checked my cervix, I was closed. They gave me an injection to help stop the contractions. And sent me home.

Once I got home I started to feel contractions again. So I went to sleep and woke up Sunday and was having 10+ contractions within 2 hours. So I went back in to the hospital where they gave me that injection again along with another medication to help stop them. Checked my cervix again and I was still closed.

They decided to admit me because I was still having these contractions. They gave me two steroid injections to help mature baby’s lungs just in case she had to be delivered early. They were giving me this medication that they give people who have high blood pressure because it helps relax the muscles and it did stop the contractions, but since I have low blood pressure naturally I’m not able to continue taking it at home because I can’t monitor my blood pressure.

I had a vaginal ultrasound to make sure my cervix was still closed and thick and it was. Baby is good too. She’s not been in distress the whole time. I was discharged this morning. My doctors do not think I’m in early labor and we’re comfortable sending me home. I haven’t had that many contractions since this morning. I’ve counted three since I’ve been home but they’re not bad and pretty much far apart.

I’m on bed rest until further notice.

Has this happened to anyone else and they’ve had a healthy rest of their pregnancy?
