Do you believe that people say things they don’t mean to when there mad?

My husband always saying things that later on I’ll ask him and he will answer the opposite or will say “he got mad and said it” he has said really bad things cussing me out

If they don’t mean it they have thought it though. What would come to someones mind so randomly just because they’re mad? I personally don’t believe that at all

I kind of believe that people say things they don't mean. People probably do that all the time, not just when angry.
But, it's not acceptable for him to be emotionally abusive. Mad or not, mature adults can maintain composure.

Set some boundaries. My husband would call me a bitch whenever I'd come off rude to him. I told him I will not allow that anymore. As he doesn't like when I tell him to "fuck off." So after we talked about it and set those boundaries, we've found better ways of communicating with each other.

I think everyone has said things when angry that they wish they could take back. I have. You probably have, too. Maybe your husband, too. I believe that sometimes we make the wrong choices or no choice at all when our emotions overwhelm us. That's why we need to apologize sincerely afterwards and be honest with ourselves and reflect on our actions.
Yet, some people are emotionally abusive and then use their "uncontrolled anger" as lame-ass excuse for being horrible.
No one on this platform can tell you what kind your husband is. You're the only one who can.

I do believe this can happen. There have been times where I've said things I didn't mean just so I could get my point across better or express what I need to better. However, I don't think it's healthy to do. And to be honest it's kind of a red flag that your guy does that every time instead of simply taking the blame and apologizing.

That’s a hard question. I think it’s both ways. However, either way you don’t hit below the belt if you mean it or not. You can’t take words back. I’m currently dealing with some shit that FIL said about me and it’s something that could never be fixed.

I believe that sometime ppl use anger as a way tonaay how they really feel then being able to blame it on being angry, kind of like when ppl are assholes when they're drunk. I also believe ppl say things that they know will intentionally hurt someone which is equally messed up
