Early Labor Question!

I’ve been having regular contractions ranging from 2-4 minutes apart but after about 6-8 hours they’ll stop. They start again at a random time. I saw my midwife a few days ago, who said baby’s head is 3/5 engaged, a week ago she wasn’t engaged at all.

I’ve been losing parts of my mucus plug.
