Elective c section insurance coverage

Help! I’m currently 40 weeks and scheduled for an elective c section on Monday morning since I expressed concern over my baby being in the 99th percentile for size. My doctor then recommended an elective c section. Since then I read that sometimes insurance does not cover elective c sections. It’s Saturday so no insurance company can answer my question until Monday when I have my baby so I’m going to the general public! Has anyone been suggested to have an elective c section and had it covered by insurance or not? Even just personal experiences will inform me and be helpful.
