Mucus Plug? TMI

Question

I don't know that I really am pregnant yet, I have an appointment tomorrow to find out. 
But just wondering, I've read that a mucus plug forms at 4 week's and 7 weeks...which is it? If I am, I'm about 6 weeks counting from LMP.
And if I should have formed one now, what does it feel like? How do I know I'm feeling the mucus plug?
Just curious. I can't find any info on Google, just what to do when it comes out.
Can anyone answer my question?

You won't know what your mucus plug looks like until it comes out and not to be gross but it's like a big bogger

the only way to know is to take a test or see the dr, you won't see or feel the mucus plug til it starts coming out (usually the 9th month of pregnancy) look for other pregnancy signs tho. they're just like period symptoms just no period.

But what does it feel like when checking cervix position 
At roughly 6 weeks

And when it comes out you may want to go to the hospital cuz u may be up to 4cm dialated
