Red Bleeding 7/8 weeks

Taylor

Sharing this in case anyone else goes through it and searches these boards like a mad woman in the same way I did. I’m not trying to give you a definitive answer, but share my experience.

I was 7 weeks 4 days on Saturday- made a early Christmas dinner with my family so on my feet all day & was bad about drinking water (they didn’t know I was pregnant yet & i have very bad morning sickness). That night my husband and I attended a Christmas party & I was on my feet all night & just drank ginger ale (to hide it from friends). That night I came home late (around 1 am), did dishes, and showered. When I got out (around 2am), I started dripping red blood. I called my on call NP who told me to monitor for pain & heavy bleeding & to go to the ER if I saw that. I put in a pad and would describe it at my second to third day period- not super heavy, but not light. My back had hurt really bad since 12am- almost like I’d overdone it and it was a little pulled, but no forward cramps.

By the next morning, I still had all my pregnancy symptoms & mild cramping (almost like Braxton hicks but lighter- similar to heavy bloating with a little pain), but my back was a good bit better- still sore but better. By 11am I was only making light brown blood and had no clots. By noon, all bleeding was gone. I had cramps the remainder of the day on and off & no bleeding.

On Monday, I went to the ob fulling expecting to hear the worst. But to our surprise, baby had grown really well (I was now moved up to 8 weeks, 2 days), had a really strong heart beat, and they found a SCH - subchorionic hematoma/ subchorionic hemorrhage. This is why I bled, this is why it stopped.

I’ve been told to take it easy or the bleeding may come back & they’ll monitor it.

I know this isn’t always how this story goes, but I read everything I could on here for almost 2 days and wanted to give someone my experience in case they go through the same.

As always, call your doctor first and please go to the ER if bleeding worsens & cramping gets painful.

I hope this helps anyone going through the same.
