Male factor Infertility

Nicole

Hi everyone!

My fiancé was prescribed Clomiphene today by the urologist.

We are still in the beginning stages of all of this. In August, he had one semen analysis that led to diagnosing him with Azoospermia.

We then went to see the “urologist” who turns out to actual be a nurse practitioner. Anyway she had us go to labcorp for testing: CBC and Differential and Y-Chromosome Microdeletion. His Prolactin, FSH, and LH were elevated. His Y Chromosome Microdeletion results were negative (thank God!). Because of the elevated hormones she suggested he do an MRI (with and without contrast). Well the MRI came back perfectly fine. So we asked, what can you do about the elevated hormones? She said there’s nothing left to do but see a fertility doctor. I was more than upset.

Nevertheless, I did more research and actually found a REAL urologist and he took a look at the past medical records, and suggested that he do 25 days of clomid. He scheduled my fiancé an appointment in January for an ultrasound to see if there’s a blockage.

We are hopeful! Any advice you all have, please feel free to share.
