My new relationship

I’ve been this relationship with my boyfriend for 2 months now and he is the sweetest guy. He does have some home life issues and mental health issues. He says that he feels numb most days and i’m not sure to help. He is very closed off about his feelings due to how he was raised. With all of this the past 2 times we have tried to have sex he has gotten soft before going in. He tells me he feels like he is letting me down and i deserve better. i’ve been in toxic relationship and i can’t tell if he is just manipulating me? any advice???
