Very small diamond ring or white sapphire?

Question

So my price range is low for a ring. Would you rather have very small diamond ring (literally under $400) or a white sapphire ring that’s a decent size like 1ct? I originally had Moissanite but no jeweler what’s so ever will touch it because it’s “Moissanite” so getting a new ring so I don’t come into this issue again and with a warranty!

Diamonds are such a scam. They’re not truthfully anymore valuable than any other shiny stone, it’s a whole ass marketing ploy.
My husband bought my engagement ring at a pawn shop for $400. It’s not an overly small stone for the center and has 3 smaller diamonds on either side, but it’s not giant either.
My friend opted to have hers custom made from this woman on Etsy so she could design it herself. I think she spent $300-500 or so on hers, it’s rose gold and has a white sapphire and it’s beautiful.

Honestly, look into lab created. It’s still a diamond, just lab grown. Super affordable and you can get a huge size . Check helzberg

White sapphires are absolutely gorgeous and make incredible engagement rings!! Very close to diamond hardness, but without all the overpriced crap that comes with buying diamonds. 
There are some jewelry artists on Etsy that create absolutely gorgeous rings with gold and white sapphire.

I have a regular sapphire. It is the most complimented piece and most complimented ring of anyone I know (like when were all out its my ring people notice). Lab grown gemstones are great and sapphires are one of the hardest gems out there. Mine was legit under $300 but people don't know and think im q gold digger for this ring.
I love it because my husband listened to me about not wanting a diamond and picked out this gorgeous ring all on his own.

White sapphire all the way. Diamonds have a little bit more shine and density- they’ll last longer and shine longer but for the price.. I don’t see the wow. You could easily buy new sapphires or have the shined up many times before going over the cost of a small diamond. I watched a documentary on diamonds recently and how they were basically a marketing scam- rings in general were here in the states.. but diamonds weren’t even the main stone preference or used until a major jeweler got involved.

I've had many white sapphire rings over the years and have tons of diamonds and different gems.  The white sapphires aren't sturdy especially in comparison to a diamond. A diamond is pretty much indestructible. I'd go sith the diamond for that purpose! I had one ring white saph from helzburg, chipped within 6 months and my life is very lenient I never wore it when I worked. Also I had a white saph emerald cut necklace, the muddle stone cracked two freaking times. Idk maybe I'm just unlucky with the stone. I HIGHLY reccomend fine jewelry from etsy, they have some amazing quality rings!

Helzberg has a great warranty program and some cheaper stuff as well as the real diamonds. Just go in and look around, tell them your price & see if there’s anything you like
