Early EWCM, 30 Day Cycles...

Around CD 7-10 I get ewcm...but no positive opk. My positive opk comes around CD 13-15...I was reading that the ewcm is the time to have sex and to disregard the opk...has anyone had experience with that? Even if ovulation occurs a few days after ewcm, my opk still isn’t positive yet...wtf?!

My cycles are around 30 days give or take so in general one would state I ovulate around day 16...I’m just really confused and thinking I’ve been having sex at all the wrong times now 🤔
