Kids don’t need privacy!...?

I came across a debate about kids, specifically pre teens and teens, not needing privacy. They shouldn’t have bedroom doors. They should never be allowed to have doors with locks. Parents should not knock before entering their rooms and the only time they have privacy is in the bathroom while showering or using the toilet. If they need to change their clothing, they should tell the parent to give a heads up.

“If you give your kid privacy, they learn to do bad things and most of the time parents find out when it’s too late.”

Do you think this is beneficial or extreme?
