Contractions ?

I’m 9 months pregnant with my first baby girl. Obviously never experienced any of this, this morning I have had pretty mild period cramp feelings. I cannot tell if there’s tightening just feel the cramping. Is this Braxton hicks ? Or can it just be normal cramping ? Or is it contractions I just cannot feel tightening.

It could be any of the above, honestly. I was having contractions pretty close together and strong and I couldn’t feel them. My 40 week appointment my OB could feel them while he was checking me and sent me to be induced because I was only 3cm dilated. If they get close together or are accompanied with discharge or get severe, I’d call labor and delivery and see what they say.

It could be either, but you won’t really know until they start getting stronger and closer together. Real contractions follow a pattern that changes and organizes over time. I’m a FTM too but everyone keeps telling me when it’s real contractions I’ll “know” so I’m hoping that’s true! Basically if I question it I’m assuming it’s not go time yet

Ftm here also. Woke up today with lots of cramping and tightening. I downloaded a contraction timer app that tells you when to go to the hospital.
