Hi all not really a question really just needed to vent.

So my dad put the offer out there to buy the car seat for our son, so we found the one we wanted and sent it to him which he was happy to pay and order (which he has), however when my mum found out the price she completely lost her shit saying I could have gotten one of marketplace or gumtree etc. What really annoyed me is that to myself and my fiancé a car seat is one of those things that we feel good money should be spent on to keep him safe, yea I’m aware that I can get one only however it’s the one thing we’ve bought brand new for him. We got his cot, change table, swing etc of marketplace.

We also do a lot of camping and 4 wheel driving so for us we needed something really safe.

We knew it was expensive and we did say to my dad that if it was to expensive we would find another one as well.

I don’t understand why I got so upset and angry over it, like I was actually bawling when she started shouting. It’s the one thing that we want for little boy, that we really wanted to spend money on.
