Doona or get something else?

Question

I’ve heard so many great things about the doona car seat stroller! A friend of mine has it and loves it. 
This is my problem, I don’t know if I want to put that much money into a seat that my child will most likely outgrown within a year. 
I’m pregnant with my 3rd baby and I have a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old. What car seat, stroller, travel system, would you recommend? 
The only other car seat I’ve looked into is the Nuna pipa lite but it’s only a tad bit cheaper. It’s WAY lighter than the doona but you lose the stroller feature.

I LOVE the nuna, particularly the expanded canopy which is great fir covid. And it’s so easy to click in and out. As my babe has gotten heavier I’m also thankful it’s light. I believe you can get stroller converters for many strollers, w have one for the uppababy stroller

Literally anything besides a doona. Such an absolute waste, and not particularly safe either. They can difficult to get a proper install. Baby shouldn’t be in a car seat unless in the car driving. They should be flat or carried if you aren’t driving. Also, why buy a whole heavy ass car seat and crappy stroller that won’t last long? You are much better served to buy a nice stroller that will last you the whole time you need a stroller. Uppababy, nuna, baby jogger are all great. They all have a bassinet option to keep baby flat and safe, have great push, and are a pleasure to use. If you want a smaller stroller, uppababy minu is a great option that can take a car seat with adapters.

I totally agree with the other commenter - babies should be in car seats as little as possible for proper hip development. I know a lot of people use infant car seats, but they seemed like such a waste of money to me. I had this car seat that worked from birth (and can be used until they no longer need a carseat/booster) and then got a baby carrier and an affordable stroller that had a bassinet attachment. Yeah it took some effort to take my baby out of the carseat everytime, but I preferred having her close to me in the carrier.

This is what we have and I love it, I love my baby but $1000 dollars for a uppababy is just not what I’m willing to spend

I had this with my daughter and plan on using this with my 2nd! I loved it just clicked in to the base for the car and then clicked right into the stroller. When my daughter outgrew this we went with the Graco 4ever deluxe one.
