Bottle sterilizer

Question

Has anyone used a bottle sterilizer before? Do you recommend them?
I have always cleaned the bottles in the dishwasher but my dishwasher is the absolute worst and isn’t getting things clean. 
With the new baby, I want to start hand washing and sterilizing them instead of using the dishwasher.

Just get a big bowl, places them in the water and put them in the microwave, it will do the same thing for you. 
Or.. Wash them in hot water..

I have one for 20$ and I’m so excited to use it when the baby is born next month, because boiling bottles takes 20-30 mins while putting the sterilizer in the microwave takes 2 minutes. 
Also the dishwasher doesn’t really sterilize, just washes & we all know dishwashers don’t wash the best.

I do recommend it. It just makes things easier if you don’t have a really good dishwasher. Even now, we no longer need to sterilize, but I use it because it keeps the bottles tidy and I don’t have a billion bits and pieces drying all over my countertop. 
The one thing I’ll say with this one, is that you do need to clean the heating  element (it’s just a flat circle in the reservoir) with some white vinegar every two weeks or so otherwise it glitches out. Even with distilled water, residue builds up on it.

I've tried a sterilizer and really didn't like it. These bottles are amazing! They are self sterilizing which makes it super easy

These are awesome! We also have the baby brezza sterilizer. I exclusively pump so it was an absolute must since there’s so many pieces. I’ve never done the dishwasher either just because I’m terrified of one of my parts getting warped

We have a microwaveable sterilizer or we just boil them! Always hand wash before. We use dawn. Our hospital used Palmolive for pump parts.
