Winter time baby needs sunshine...

Rachel

I know I'm supposed to have my son (8 weeks old, born preemie at 34weeks) in the sunshine so he can get vitamin D. However the pediatrician said 2 hours a day, and while that doesn't exactly sound too excessive, I have no idea how I'm supposed to do that when it's 20° outside and we get very little natural light in this valley. I've thought of going to the library or another public area that would have more light during the day, but then I worry about him being exposed to covid or whatever else is floating around. I don't feel the vitamin d is worth risking getting him around the public, but am I wrong? I've gotten mixed answers from the pediatricians so I wanted yalls opinion. Also any ideas for a way to get him in the sun without taking him outside or around too many people? I know it's not a serious issue compared to other things, but I really want to figure something out.
