First IUI this month (maybe)

I got my tubal ligation reversed last year and we’ve been trying for almost a year now. Prior to my ligation I got pregnant 6 times all within the first month trying (and not trying), so I requested an hsg to check my tubes 6 months into trying this time. We found out that only my left tube is open, the right is blocked with scar tissue. Our problem seems to be that I ovulate from my right ovary more than my left for some stupid reason. The last 2 months have been from the right. So my infertility doctor recommended Femara with IUI, possibly with a trigger shot. He’s trying to see if it helps get an egg from my left ovary by getting my body to produce more than one egg. Doing the IUI is dependent on my ultrasound on Friday showing good follicles on the left side. Has anyone else had a similar issue and had a successful IUI?
