Did your water break before contractions started? If so was it a girl or boy you were carrying?

With my first son in 2003 my water broke and then contractions came 1 hr later like a steam engine....with my daughter in 2014 contractions came on strong and fast and the doctors had to break my water right before she came out.....now 35 weeks with a boy and can't wait to see what happens...please share you stories with me....thanks!

Contractions started, my water was broken by my doctor, I had a boy. I don't think this correlates with having a boy or girl though.

I was sleep when my water broke with my first child July 4,2003 and then less then a hour contractions came in super strong got to hospital already dilated to 10 was ready to push. So I'm hoping with this baby it go by fast
