So I’ve dated around for years and the guys I’ve had the most sexual chemistry with are the ones that are bad at communicating, string me along, and don’t treat me well. The best sex is with them
But my current boyfriend is lovely and I was crazily attracted to at the start. Now I don’t feel such strong feelings such as when he kisses. But I’m so comfortable and happy with him. But there’s never been a wild sexual chemistry like with guys I’ve dated in the past but he’s caring and loving

I think it’s a good sign when you come down from what I think of the “high” from the beginning of the relationship and you are still comfortable and happy with him even if the sexual attraction or desire is lower. I like to think of the different types of love that the ancient greeks came up with. Eros is love founded on sexual desire or lust, which is typically where most relationships start. But as the relationship progresses, different types of love become more prominent, such as “philia” or a more “platonic” soul connection (typically found between best friends), and “pragma” or a sense dedication and shared goals for the future. In response to your poll, I believe sexual chemistry is important to consider when you are thinking of marriage, but a lasting relationship can’t stand on eros alone, and I personally believe the two other types of love are super important in the long run. Sexual satisfaction is important of course, but you don’t need  “wild sexual chemistry” to have a strong relationship. It sounds like you are still attracted to him, but it’s not founded solely on sexual desire at this point and I think that’s super cool. So would Plato! :)

If you want a fufilling sex life you have to talk about what you want and need. If you do, it will get better, if you are with a person that is willing to do their part. If they refuse to aknowledge your needs then maby they are not the one.

There wasn’t instant chemistry between my husband and I. It took about a month of dating for the chemistry to start for me but since then we’ve had the most chemistry I’ve ever experienced.

With my husband we were best friends for years before we ever dated or had sex. While our sex is great and I enjoy it, the intense passionate whirlwind isn’t here and probably never has been. Which is honestly fine with me because he’s a great husband, we still satisfy eachother sexually, and he’s my best friend.
I can think of two guys in the past I did have the crazy chemistry and passionate intimacy with and both of them were total players. Yeah the sex was amazing, but when it was over I felt empty. Like aside from some crazy hormones and a penis, the connections were just completely shallow. Maybe physically satisfied but not emotionally. With my husband I’m both emotionally and physically satisfied if that makes sense.

It depends, sometimes it is just sex, sometimes there’s more. My current partner is my best lover ever, best communication, we have the same sense of humor, we never fight and argue, he knows me better than I know myself even for my breathing, if a text message is different, he is so connected and perceptive and notices everything which I love about him because previous partners I could’ve been missing a leg and they wouldn’t have noticed. Am I looking for marriage anytime soon, absolutely not, I’m just taking it one day at a time, for however long it may last and that’s how I go into any relationship. I am in no rush to get married, or anything else in life. If we ever happen to get married great, if not that’s fine too￼
