Teething?

My girl is almost 4 months old. She’s been extremely fussy, a huge amount of drool, gnawing on her hands, rosy cheeks, and will not take a freaking nap. I keep trying to see if she’s teething but I can’t tell. I’m a first time mom, I know it would be really early to teeth, however my sister got her first 2 teeth at 4 months old so I know it’s possible. I snapped this pic. I can’t tell if that’s normal how gums look or if the little bumps are her teeth making the progress of coming through. Please y’all be nice. I’ve seen so many rude comments on here lately and I was hesitant to post in the first place

What do you guys do for teething? She seems miserable. She won’t nap during the day. She’s cranky. Drooling. Just seems so uncomfortable I wanna help her

You can wet a washcloth and freeze it for a little while and try and give it to her to chew on. Or one of those mesh teethers with an ice cube in it. Or even better if you have frozen breast milk you could put a chunk in there. Might work the same for a frozen formula Ice cube too but I’m not 100% sure !

I definitely see the lumps of teeth under her gums! My sons looks like that the weeks leading up to them coming out. He was 9.5 months old, but it can start at any age! I would say it looks and sounds like she’s teething!

Teething can happen for months before a tooth breaks through! My girl started teething between 8-10 weeks old and is now 5 months old and still none have popped. My girl does have 6 locked and loaded. Her bottom 2 teeth look like your LO and has looked that way for about 3 weeks. Looks like your little one is definitely teething! Good luck mama!

It’s not that uncommon actually. I was told by my pediatrician that my five week old (now eight weeks and almost to the two month mark) was teething and to expect teeth as early as four months.
