TRIGGER POST!!!!

Soo my health visitor came to visit today. She saw how my baby was sleeping. In his Moses basket with a swaddle. Correctly done and nothing else in there with him.

She told me a story about one of her patients: again, trigger warning!!!!.

She told me swaddling is meant to be safe and comforting for little ones. BUT one of her patients swaddled her baby soo much that the baby stopped breathing because she thought she was back in the womb. Where they don't need to breathe. This is fucking awful why tell me this!!! Now I'm too scared to swaddle my baby 😐

How is this possible. Swaddling isn't meant to be like this. How did that baby shut down thinking she was back in the womb???!!! I felt very uncomfortable when she told me this, she is rude and had NO reason to share this. Is this something I should report????
