Dull period like pains?

I’m 38w3D and really ready to have this baby! I woke up last night with period like pain and consistent contractions. After timing them for an hour and a half they slowed down so I didn’t go in. I’ve still had a few contractions but nothing consistent, but the period cramping/aches haven’t gone away yet. Has anyone had this at the beginning of labor??

I had that yesterday. Contractions every 5 mins for 2 hrs, then they died down. Yesterday I was still crampy and I figured it was just my uterus being sore from the contractions. Today I’ve only had maybe 2-3 and no more cramping. I am scheduled for a C-section on feb 3rd and want baby to stay in til then so my dr can be the one to do the surgery!!

Thats how my whole 8 hour labor was with my son. Toward the end they felt like bad period cramps but it was never worse than that

Yeah but my contractions went from nothing ro 4 minutes apart to the second almost before I noticed. My little guy had dropped down and was prepping himself to make his exit. It was him pressing his full weight down and my water hadnt broken. I went in to get checked and my dr kept me as I had dialted to 6cm.
