Can I take castor oil for vbac induction?

Has anyone going in for vbac tried induction with castor oil?And if yes did it work?I’ve been seeing videos online about how it worked and induced labor,but I don’t know about people who want to go vbac.I’m 38 plus 5 and I’m over this pregnancy😩but my doctor says I do not qualify for induction with pharmacological medications as it can cause uterine rapture🥲

No please don’t take castor oil. It can stress your baby and cause them to poop in the womb and can have dangerous side effects. You only have a short amount of time left, you can do it.

Not worth it. Talk to your Dr there are safe methods to try and that is not one of them

I would not recommend. It increases the risk of baby passing meconium in the womb which can be very dangerous. 
I did not use castor oil but my baby did pass meconium and it turned into an emergency situation, thankfully she was okay but we were not able to do skin to skin.

It’s very common for vbacs to go over 40 weeks just FYI. But if you would like try having sex or taking a long walk. I took a long hilly walk at 40+1 and went into ￼labor the next day! I also had a vbac
