Sorry for the long post but please if anyones experienced something similar I’d like to hear about it to give me some hope. I had a c section one week ago, I was doing great and was starting to get around better, only taking the occasional ibuprofen until yesterday. I started having abdominal pain - not incision pain - and through the evening it got progressively worse. When I lay down or bend a certain way I get a sharp stabbing pain and it’s painful to touch. The only comfortable position is standing or sitting straight up, laying down is painful so I slept about 3 hours last night propped up in a sitting position and went to the ER early this morning. They said there’s a knot where the pain is but my blood work doesn’t look like I have an infection. They gave me antibiotics and pain meds to go home with just in case an infection is starting but not quite showing on my labs, and said it could also be a dislodged staple (they’re internal because they’re dissolvable) or bunched up scar tissue causing the pain. I just want to know if anyone has dealt with either of those and how long the pain persisted because I feel like crying everytime I lay down and just want it to be over😭
