Advice needed please

My husband and I have been married for almost year. We both want children, and have been talking about trying to conceive. We both work and financially independent.

Here is my dilemma: My family wants the best for us and they have always had high expectations. I feel like they would be disappointed/think we are not ready for kids because we do not own a home nor do we have benefits. We pay out of pocket for health insurance.

Do you think it would be irresponsible to try for a baby if we do not own a home/have health insurance?
