Need advice please!!⚠️⚠️

I had my first ob appointment today and mentioned that I wanted a vbac. I also asked if she was vbac supportive and her response was “ I am, but since your diabetic it brings your chances of a successful vbac lower. Also you dont look very tall and your last baby was quite big. We’d have to look at your history and go from there, but I perform them all the time.” My csection for my first baby was due to FTP i was at 5cm for 5 hours and was talked into getting a cesarean. I feel like I wasnt even given a chance and now that I found one of the 2 “vbac supportive” providers here where I am I feel like she just immediately shot down my choice. Im type 2 diabetic and have been controlling it with diet, but she wants to put me on metfromin, have any of you had type 2 diabetes and a successful vbac?
