Planning Baby & Birth Control

Question: I have the nexplanon, & I want to start trying for baby #2. We would like to start trying at the end/start of the year (December '22/January '23), but my worry is that since I've had it implanted my periods are super irregular, and I'm wondering how many months before we start trying, I should get it taken out to get back to regular periods? 😬

Baby #1 was not planned, so planning a to conceive will be new experience and I'm super nervous!
