We don’t share our name thoughts with anyone... just opens the door to criticism. Once the baby is here, people are less likely to criticize.

I asked what they thought but in the end chose the name I liked and didn't care that they didn't like it 💁‍♀️

I didn't tell anyone my daughter's name...but my sister did and my mom hated it. Then my sister changed it.

I asked both my parents if there was names they thought we should avoid due to family history. One name came up, my mum wouldn't tell me the history around it so there was clearly a reason he was known as "mad uncle Henry".

My mother absolutely did not our name choice for baby #1 (Percy, btw). Now, she can’t believe she was bull-headed over it. Our Percy is such a Percy!

I put maybe if it involves their name (like naming the baby after them or using their middle name, etc.) or a family name that I would want their input on.
