How many words is your 16 month old saying?

My youngest is 16 months old now and he only says 8 words. 
1. Dada 
2. Mama
3. Cup 
4. Stretch
5. No 
6. Now
7. Stop
8. It
Does this sound pretty normal for his age, or does it need more work? Our pediatrician was very very strict on my oldest when he was showing signs of being slightly behind with expressive language, and I don't want to get shamed again on the next doctor visit. Thanks for your help!

Mine says mama, dada, 3 or 4 animal sounds, and grunts, points, and head nods or shakes. So 🤷🏻‍♀️

My son is only saying a handful of words as well. He says:

And some animal noises
But that’s all. Usually it’s incoherent babble 🤷🏻‍♀️

Aria is almost 17 months, she says lots of words. Mommy, daddy, baby, beautiful, banana, snack, cheese, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, dance, bite, hi, bye, no, yes, brush, teeth, pooped, pee. She can also says her 3 siblings names.

Mine says mama, cheese and baby sister. He is learning hand signals like more, etc.

So far we have mama, dada, hey, hi, yea, no and meow. He tries to say thank you sometimes, it doesn’t sound exactly like thank you but I know that’s what he means.

Mine can say quite a few words but doesn't pronounce the full word and I don't know when to worry about that. For example he will say "haa" but not say the "t"
