Strict family + vacation w/ boyfriend

I am 23 and my bf and I have been together since we were 17. We’re both in grad school but have jobs and make our own money. His family is going on a small trip and invited me. I’m terrified to tell my dad about it. He’s so strict and very religious. idk how to even bring up the topic without starting a fight. Any advice on how to make your family let you move on / let you “fly away” even though you live at home??

I can’t just leave because I respect my dad enough to at least tell him about it, but I’m not sure what to do anymore!
